Business Insider: Apple May Be Screwed

First – it’s not the iPhone 5.  Numerically, it’s the iPhone 6.  By name, it’s probably just, “the new iPhone”.

Second – the rest of this article is hogwash.  There is certainly a subset of the population who purchases their hardware simply because it “looks cool”.  I’m willing to bet it’s a small portion.

The reason Apple’s competitors are advancing their technology so rapidly with each iteration is that they are playing catch-up to Apple in most areas.  Apple can afford (for now) to evolve.  If someone leapfrogs them, then Apple will need to take more chances.
