Market cap

Don’t pay attention to market cap – it’s like saying salary determines who is the best quarterback.

Despite being trumpeted by MG Siegler, market cap is a meaningless statistic of company performance.  It’s an extrapolation of how the stock market values a company, not any kind of reflection of how the company is actually doing – correlation at best, not causation.  For causation, look at revenue, profits, margin.  Or, if you really want to know just how much Apple is killing it, read Horace Deidu.
